We condemn the acts of violence that occurred in northern Mali last weekend during the visit of the Malian Prime Minister to the region and convey our condolences to the Government and people of Mali, particularly to the families of those who lost their lives in the clashes.

Turkey attaches great importance to Mali's national sovereignty and territorial integrity and will continue to strongly support the preservation of its constitutional order and political stability established following the elections as well as any efforts towards ensuring national reconciliation in this context.
