We welcome the fact that the Presidential elections held in Gambia on 1 December 2016 took place in a peaceful environment.

Turkey respects the will of the people of Gambia who demonstrated it in elections with a great democratic maturity. Our efforts to advance bilateral relations with Gambia in every field will continue in the new period.
