We have received the news with sorrow that there were casualties and injuries as a result of a suicide bomb attack perpetrated today (21 June) at a Mosque in Baladiyat area of Baghdad.

We strongly condemn this heinous terrorist attack towards civilians at a holy place. We convey our condolences to the friendly and brotherly people of Iraq; wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives and speedy recovery to the wounded.

Turkey will continue to provide strong support to Iraq’s fight against terrorism.
