We welcome the statement made by the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) yesterday (11 September) about its readiness for a ceasefire with the Federal Government and also peace talks under the auspices of the African Union.

We renew our call on the parties for dialogue and reiterate our readiness to provide all kinds of support to find a permanent solution to end the violence in Ethiopia.
