Türkiye has been re-elected to the IMO Council following the elections held today (28 November) during the ongoing 34th Session of the IMO Assembly in London.

Türkiye has successfully maintained uninterrupted representation on the Council since its first candidacy in 1999. Today’s outcome once again reaffirms Türkiye’s active and trusted role within the IMO, owing to its capacity and experience in the fields of maritime safety, marine environmental protection, international shipping and port services.

Türkiye will continue to make concrete contributions to multilateral cooperation in the maritime field.
